On Friday 21st May, 2021, Spring-UP Global Network mentored over 230 Junior High School students through their mentorship session dubbed; Mentor Me. The career guidance sessions were held in two schools, one each in two regions in Ghana. The first session was held at Liberty Avenue 2 JHS, Adabraka, Accra and the second at Dichemso M/A JHS ‘A’, Kumasi.
In many basic schools in Ghana, career guidance is neglected. This is why the Youth Mentors at Spring-UP Global Network introduced students to numerous career opportunities and current global trends. They also debunked a number of career myths that these basic school students were harboring.
The NGO which was recently nominated in the Child Education category of the Humanitarian Awards Global also believes that the key to a successful future lies in making the right career decisions. This encouraged them to share insights, lessons and tips to motivate and inspire the students to make informed decisions about their career paths.
The NGO, focused on promoting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 also donated some textbooks to the students at Dichemso M/A JHS ‘A’.
Keep up the good work
