Spring-UP Global Network has been nominated in the second edition of Humanitarian Awards Global.

Spring-UP Global Network (SUGN) has been named as a nominee in the Child Education category of the 2021 edition of the Humanitarian Awards Global. The organizers of the Awards made this announcement to the public in a virtual event on Thursday, 29th April.

Established in 2019, and currently with 18 Youth Mentors and more than 1,500 children beneficiaries, the NGO is advancing basic quality education in Ghana’s rural communities. Through their iRead iLead Campaign, a strategic educational program, SUGN is refurbishing school libraries annually to nurture tomorrow’s informed leaders through effective reading.

Focused on advancing the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goal 4, the organization has embarked on 11 projects centered on career guidance, literacy classes and book donations to schools and orphanages through other projects of the NGO including ‘The Book Expedition’ and ‘Mentor Me’.

Dubbed ‘Celebrating Change Makers’, the organizers of the award said the award will spotlight individuals and organizations recognise NGOs, SDG advocates, volunteer leaders, donors, organizations, philanthropist, corporations and professionals in advancing the important work of charities each day and also give them a voice and opportunities as they continue to positively impact the world through their works.

Voting ends on 31st July, 2021 and the Awards event will be held on September 4, 2021 at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra.
