There’s a growing global demand for STEM careers, yet Ghana’s Education Strategic Plan (ESP 2018–2030) reveals that only 12% of Senior High School students enroll in science disciplines. This gap calls for bold interventions that spark interest and confidence in STEM pathways.
At Spring-UP Global Network, we believe mentorship and career guidance are key to driving this transformation. That’s why we created the Mentor Me Programme (Spring-UP MMP), a dynamic school outreach initiative connecting pre-tertiary students with industry leaders, professionals, and tertiary students.

Through personalized mentorship, career awareness, and guidance, we help students explore and prepare for 21st-century opportunities.
Moving from Junior High to Senior High School is a critical moment for most learners. During this transition, students choose courses as part of their SHS admission process, choices that often shape their future careers. This is why we engage BECE candidates: to guide them toward informed decisions that align with their aspirations and the demands of the modern workforce.
On Friday, 30th May 2025, our team engaged 533 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) candidates from the Kwashieman Cluster of Schools in meaningful conversations about their dreams and aspirations. We listened, answered questions, and reminded them that their future is full of promise.
As part of the outreach, we donated 120 math sets to support their exam preparation, a small but significant step toward academic success.

One moment stood out: Ama, a bright student, shared her dream of enrolling at Mfantsiman Girls’ Senior High School and becoming a chartered accountant. Her eyes lit up as she spoke with a chartered accountant from our team, who, coincidentally, is an alumna of Ama’s dream school. These priceless conversations are why we do what we do.

Spring-UP Global Network has a long-standing relationship with the Kwashieman Cluster of Schools. On 27th January 2023, in partnership with Deloitte, we commissioned the school’s library, the second of eight libraries refurbished across Ghana under the Deloitte WorldClass Initiative. This collaboration reflects our shared commitment to improving literacy and creating environments where students can thrive.
We are grateful to the leadership of the Kwashieman Cluster of Schools for the opportunity to engage with these future leaders. At Spring-UP, we believe every child, regardless of where they are born, deserves equal access to literacy and learning opportunities.
